Comfy and soft

Don’t buy if you’re looking for noise reduction

A good travel mask for occasional use

The mask is light and relatively cool, even without prior freezing. Freezing isn't really effective, as it warms up from contact with your skin within 30 seconds. Keeps out 90% of light, with only a little gap around your nose. Does not have space to prevent it from pressing on your eyes, so not comfortable enough for regular use. (Posted on 1/6/22 )

Perfection

The trick to a good day sleep when working nights is ear plugs and an eye mask. Excellent!

Honestly, there isn't going to be an eye mask out there that is absolutely perfect. Mostly because the human body is meant to go to sleep without needing an apparatus around the head. However, if you do need something to help block light and muffle noise, this mask is as close as perfect as you're going to get. You may still (somewhat) notice that it's there, you may need to adjust and refine the tightness of the Velcro to be comfortable, and it may slip around a little during the night when you turn over, but you do get used to all of that – and you may even find that you can't sleep without it! If you need a mask to get you to block out some stimuli, this is the one that feels the best and blocks a good amount of light. (Posted on 5/26/21 )

Overall pretty happy and better than a few others but 2 improvements would make it great:
1) back join section to thick, feels a bit lumpy

Don't waste your money

Really wish I didn't waste $50 (including delivery) on this.

Cons:
1. Makes so much noise unless you lie super still.
2. Doesn't block out all light unless you wear it super tight and snug around your nose which I find restricts breathing.
3. (Worst of all) The material makes you feel super hot. Maybe ok for winter but definitely not for normal Australian weather.

Pros:
1. It looks decent...

Bought this for my daughter as I have had one for some months and am so delighted with it. Comfortable, stays in place and blocks light. Keeps hair in place. No elastic to eventually stretch and make the mask useless. It did leave a bluish mark on a white winter flanelette pillowcase but doesn't on the summer cotton one. It isn’t too hot either. Bad. Can't get refunds so don't risk buying

Tried it on and it presses against my eyes to much and still let's lots of light in through the gaps. It doesn't block out any noise and comes with one pair of disposable one use ear plugs. If you want it to block out any noise or light keep looking because there are cheaper and better options.

Not suited for flatter facial profile

Not the best

Unfortubately this blocks out less light than my cheap airline freebie sleeping mask. The velcro strap is comfortable, but the nose flaps do not form to the face and allow in more light that a basic sleeping mask. The material is soft, but as it is synthetic it quickly become warm during wear, even after cooling it in the fridge as the packaging suggests. The filling is rather rigid and not the most comfortable, but it is thick, blocks out front on and peripheral light and holds earplugs in during sleep.

Sadly, the negatives of this mask outweighed the positves for me and I wish I'd spent my money elsewhere. (Posted on 3/6/20 )

The original and the best...

This was the first sleep mask I ever bought and it's the one I come back to EVERY time.

I've tried others but they drive me mad. I really HATE the sleep masks with the skinny elastic round the back!!! They're unevenly weighted front and back so they slip and slide all over my head all night. The Sleep-Master sits exactly where it should because of the wraparound design and it stays where it should all night. Absolute bliss!!!

I tried the ones with orbital cups but they drove me mad too. The cups would ride up onto my brow bone and wedge there all night. Very uncomfortable...

I tried an expensive neoprene wraparound design with memory foam cups, but it was extremely heavy and still didn't sit in the right place. I had to cut some of the nose bridge away to make it fit!!! The Sleep-Master fits perfectly around the nose and cheeks and it feels light as a feather compared to neoprene and memory foam.

This is my 4th or 5th Sleep-Master - and I hope the company never stop making it. I've done extensive (and expensive testing!!!) of other sleep masks and this is the one I always come back to... (Posted on 2/23/20 )

Excellent... but not perfect (no sleep mask ever is!)

Like any sleep mask, I find that this one gets dislodged during the night - some nights more than others, but overall less than any other sleep mask I've used. Design wraps around the head snuggly and attaches securely with velcro at the back - which is less perishable than sleep masks that use elastic. I love that it covers my ears and provides an additional layer of sound reduction - and also helps to keep my ear plugs from dislodging accidentally during the night. Headaches after one night of wearing

I bought this product because my room is not pitch black at night due to street lighting. This mask was recommended to me and I was looking forward to using it. I did read that it might be a little too warm at night because the material itself is quite thick. This actually turned out to be true. I literally had to remove the mask at night because I felt like my head was overheating. Also, I do not like the nose cut out because if the mask moves up the forehead just a little bit, light will come in through the cut-out. It is badly designed - there are masks that are much cheaper with a much better cut out ensuring the nose has space but is still covered to avoid light from leaking in. Because of that, I had to make sure the mask wouldn't move; I did this my fitting it tightly around my head. That caused me headaches later that night, which was probably also due my head feeling very hot. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product. Best Eye-Mask I've Ever Had

I've had two of the eye-masks, lost one recently after 5 years, I thought I was being smart so purchased a cheap copy version from AliExpress online and had put it in the trash because that is what it was. Sleep-Master is the best I have found and it lasts for a long time. Also its great for HAIR as it doesn't squash it so it looks like you had a band around your hair all night, it keeps it looking perfect. Don't believe some of these negative comments here, this product its beautifully made & so gentle that you don't feel like your nasal passages are being pressured, its lovely fabric as well. Can't live without it!!!

The Sleep Master sleep mask changed my life and I've been using it for years. I can't imagine being without it. This is a premium quality sleep mask and worth every cent. It doesn't come off in the middle of the night and it washes well (I wash mine in a lingerie bag). An added bonus is that the wrinkles around my eyes look much "smoother" in the morning because of the wrap-around design. I have had no problems blinking when I wear it, I think it's just a question of adjusting the velcro to find the perfect fit.

Cheap face masks

I was excited about purchasing face masks for insomnia, upon receiving the masks I was totally disappointed because they were over- priced for the product that they are made from with flimsy 50c ear plugs. For $44.95 I could have purchased a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine for 2 people. What a waste of money. Being a Night worker, i always struggle to get quality sleep in the morning as sun light come through the sides of the curtains, never think about this sleep mask before but read an online article of having complete black out while your sleep, i search on the net and found this product, i compare with other products online and stores but this has more coverage on your eyes, so have very little or must say none room for the light , so its a complete dark environment plus the ear plugs support to not let them fall out, awesome product. Not 'one size fits all'

Hard to rate this mask, as it is way too big for me. It isn't a 'one size fits all' if you have a small head. The velcro only just reaches, which means during the night it comes completely off. Also it doesn't quite cover my ears properly because to get the velcro to reach, and do up, I have to have it quite high - so there is no sound muffling and it doesn't help hold earplugs in. I intend to buy some velcro to sew on to hopefully improve it and get results like other people, I can see the potential if it fits :) But, I was a bit disappointed when it is so expensive to buy that I have to get my sewing machine out anyway. Mask slips around and let's in light

I'm rather disappointed with this purchase - I bought it for my fiancée who is very light sensitive and has trouble sleeping as a result. She struggles to keep the mask in place, as she moves arond in the night so does the mask, leaving it in uncomfortable/awkward positions... And ultimately not doing its job. Ok Mask

Upside- Its very soft and comfortable for both back and side sleepers
Downside - Fabric doesn't breathe so can become quite hot in summer. Also small gaps at nostrils lets in a small amount of light.

Not bad

Pros: Comfortable, soft, blocks out all light really well, doesn't dig into ears or nose.

Cons: Gets hot to wear if you're in a hot room, always slides off during sleep and I never end up waking up with it on, as it covers your ears while trying to get to sleep the fabric can make a slight rustling sound which can be annoying.

Comfy

Usually the elastic digs in the back of my head, and the mask leaves marks on my face. Not with this mask. Only dropping a star off the review as it tends to slip off my head through the night. The satin feels great on my face, but doesn't have good grip. Not so much of an issue when sleeping upright on a plane, but rarely wake up with it still on my face sleeping in a bed. Brilliant!

This mask is a life saver! It is comfortable to wear, blocks out light and reduces the sound of traffic noise (with the ear plugs as well). It has given me a deeper sleep and an extra hour of sleep before the traffic on the main road outside wakes me in the morning. (Posted on 12/13/15 )

Sleep Mask

I found this product a lot better than others on the market but for the price I would have expected a better product, the ear plugs are ineffective from basic noise such as cars and people talking. With the fixing straps you must make sure they are flat before you put in on or a little flap is very uncomfortable a good but expensive mask. (Posted on 12/8/15 )

Great day sleep

Very Uncomfortable

This is the first time I have tried sleeping with any type of mask on and I have been unable to sleep with it on for a full night. I have tried this mask on several occasions and find it very uncomfortable and I find myself becoming way too hot at night to sleep comfortably. Comfortable and durable

I recommend this mask for anyone who requires a complete unbroken sleep at any time of the day. The wraparound feature ensures no light peeks through. Initially I thought it might be too hot however the material is breathable and light. A sleep mask that will last!

Needed a sleep mask that would last. This sleep mask does not include elastics that will stretch and break. Not completely comfortably if worn correctly and sleeping on back. Total Blockout!

Love this mask its soft and comforting and blocks the light better than anything else I have ever tried. It blocks some noise but I use earplugs as well in really noisy locations. Seems to help me get to sleep too.

Good one

Dunno why people complain about silk and heat build up. I have bought 2 masks more than 4 years ago and use them every night. Can not imagine sleeping without them. Took them everywhere - even hit thailand, Sure it may be a bit hot with it in the hot climate, but hey, get yourself an aircon, right? Good for extra noise blockage

What a relief

not as brilliant as I thought

Having seen videos and listened to such raving reviews I had high expectations for comfort and quality sleep.

When I first tried it on, I had to have it pushed up at the back to keep it on my head.. if you tighten the velcro just enough to keep it from falling down or spinning around on my face when I turn my head in my sleep ( this kept waking me up) the tightness wasn't overly tight but eventually does build up pressure and was giving me headaches. And I don't get headaches normally. I had been using just a cheap eye mask free from a flight I took and that was more comfortable than this.

This product's wrap around feature does heat up quickly and we haven't even started summer yet. It would only be good for afternoon 10 min chill out time. I have tried 2 nights in a row to sleep with this mask and I end up throwing it on the floor and grabbing the cheap elastic airline sleep mask.

I would only buy this product again in the future if I wanted to play pin the tail on the donkey and make sure the contestants couldn't see. It's not terribly comfortable for sleeping.

I've come back to this website to buy/try another sleep mask one with spaces for my eyes to do REM sleep and not cause red bumps on my eyelids from folliculitis and an elastic backing because elastic seems to feel more supportive than velcro and I'm not waking my partner up from readusting my velcro strap every couple of hours trying to get comfortable.

Dark nights

The mask provides excellent light blocking properties and love the enclosed feel of the wrap around design. The only negative element for me would be the material which is lovely and soft but heats up quickly due to the wrap around design and not being able to chill this product means hot sweaty summer nights.
