Note - The Sangean Pillow Speaker is only suitable for devices that have stereo output. However, it is compatible if you buy our Mono to Stereo Jack Adaptor 3.5 mm.

Pillow Speaker Volume Levels

Pillow Speakers by design only have a limited volume range. This is so they don't disturb your partner sleeping next to you and due to the proximity to your ears when lying on your pillow. Note that when using a memory foam or latex pillow the density of the pillows will greatly reduce the volume of the pillow speaker.

We recommend using an amplified pillow speaker if using a latex or memory foam pillow. As everyone's hearing ability is different pillow speakers may not work well for all people.

Great product

Robust

This product lasts much longer than cheaper versions. It has an interesting feature which seems to change the direction of the sound leaving the unit. It doesn’t have a controller switch on the cable which I think is better because there’s nothing to snag. (Posted on 8/22/20 )

Still comes apart at the join

Disappointed

Worst product I have ever bought. The instructions say to put the speaker under the pillow!!
Coudnt hear a thing. I put it beside my pillow...volume up high as it would go...quieter than a whisper.

Most crucial connection point a worry; otherwise great concept

The Pillow Speaker solves a main need for me: to be able to listen to the radio during the night without disturbing others.
But I bought this one out of necessity as the last one (bought from Roberts, but apparently identical) failed at the connection of the flex to the speaker. The design at this crucial point is certainly not - given the purpose and use of the product - anything like robust enough.

Genius

What a great idea to place a speaker in your pillow. To have the sound of rain or thunder right next to your ear as you sleep made me feel like there really was a thunderstorm outside and helped my mind to slow down and think only of the rain. I have tried various headphones over the years but they interfered with my sleep and were uncomfortable. Best of all I can listen to my CD without interrupting my husbands sleep as he can’t hear what I am listening to. Great product wonderful idea. Very fast delivery too. (Posted on 4/23/18 )

Well Made

practical size and shape, well made and easy to use. However the 3 volume/sound settings gave litle appreciable difference in sound quality or volume. All attached items had to be turned to relatively high volume to achieve any reasonable volume to the pillow speaker.

Quality Product

Solid, well made pillow speaker with nice long cord. This Sangean speaker is far superior to the other stereo pillow speakers that I also purchased (stereo pillow speakers with volume control) These speakers have two cords that tend to tangle.
