The Lights Out Portable Block Out Blind is a simple, inexpensive way to darken rooms. These blinds fit most windows and are easy and safe to use. No size adjustments necessary. No pulleys, ropes or complicated mechanisms, simply stick the sucker to the middle of any window and pull the cord to secure in place – easy!
The Lights Out Portable Block Out Blind fit most windows and take seconds to put up/take down. It comes in packs of two with each blind measuring 120 x100 cm. For larger windows more blinds can be used. If the window is smaller than a blind, the blinds sits against the window surround rather than the window.
Storing and Cleaning: The Lights Out Portable Block Out Blinds come in a small neat bag making them easy to store or pop in your suitcase. Simply wipe with a damp sponge if they need cleaning.
To Put them Up: Unfold the blind and press the sucker firmly to the window. Tighten by using the toggle and pulling the cord. For open windows or deeper recesses, easy-to-use extension rods are provided.
To Take them Down: Unstick the sucker, squeeze the sides together as if folding in half. The blind will then collapse.
Yes! The blinds have been tested and stayed up for weeks. Take a few seconds to really "work" the sucker on to the glass. You should not need to moisten the sucker.
Suckers can become misshapen depending on how they have been stored. If your sucker won't stick properly simply immerse it in hot water for a few minutes and it will return to its original shape.
A pack of two blinds completely cover windows measuring up to 163 × 114cm and significantly darken anything bigger. More than one pack of blinds can be used.
If the window is smaller than the blind, the blind sits against the window surround. If the window is bigger than the blind, the blind sits against the window. The blinds can be overlapped or used horizontally or vertically whichever way fits best. More than one pack can be used for very large windows.
Each blind comes with an extension rod. If the sucker on the blind can't reach where you need to stick it simply hook the extension rod on behind the sucker to give you more length. The suckers can be stuck on at an angle – on an open window that opens to the side for example.
Lights Out Blinds were invented by stay at home mum, Anne Clay, who was tired of battling with blankets, towels and even bin bags to try and keep her children's bedrooms dark. Talking to other mums, Anne found many of them experiencing the same problem. There was a need for a quick, easy and inexpensive solution. Anne also wanted to make sure her blinds were completely safe to use. Lights Out pass stringent safety tests and do not contain any hazardous chemicals or cords.
